I picked up this $2.99 title for a little break between more serious works. It's sort of an alternate version of Europe where men do magic. The heroine is a young girl just out of school who is the magical heir to her great uncle but has to hide her abilities due to women not being considered able to be mages.
The hero is a young writer who thinks he has no magical abilties but seems somehow to be drawn to things magical.
It's a bit steampunkish, a bit alt history, and seems fun so far. Thank god for the weekend - reading and listening to guitar songs is relaxing after a hard week.
