It's like the guy has a great idea but does not know how to execute it over a long period of time in an episodic tv series. Did he think he was just making one movie? Or even just one season?
Why is it so hard for some series to make interesting and entertaining episodes, have an over-arcing storyline that makes sense, and keep a sense of drama going over time? Well, I guess if you had that secret bottled in a formula you would be rich.
